In our daily lives, we often follow tools like Google Maps without truly noticing the spaces we move through—yet we still perceive, map, and remember our surroundings in deeply personal ways. Urbanistas Rotterdam invites you to BAR OMI to reflect on how you experience the city through sight, sound, touch, and smell, and to visualize your journey there using expressive mind maps—drawings, writings, gestures, or marks.
Referring to methods of Kevin Lynch, Rebecca Solnit and Situationist International we want to celebrate the diverse ways we navigate though Rotterdam. We’ll share and discuss our sensory experiences along with cocktails and mocktails, background songs about different cities, enjoying the late-summer energy in a good atmosphere. All interested individuals, of all professions and genders are welcome to join this event. This event is free — but registration is needed!
