Last September we had a special workshop where we envisioned our joint manifesto for a feminist Rotterdam at the Toekomstatelier Oostkop in het Nieuwe Insituut. During a relaxed and creative afternoon, we sketched, cut-out, wrote, discussed and dreamed of what would a more intersectional feminist city look like. We also had a collaborative reflection on the present and the future of Urbanistas RDAM and our role in this.
As a result of this workshop, we drew an interesting vision for the city as we discussed themes such as care, community building, shared knowledge networks, spatial connections and positioning. We will gather the outcome in the form of a visual essay, as a contribution to the next Yearbook of Women’s History.
