Bookclub #5

Giving more space and time for all reading paces, the next book club will take place in April. With (hopefully!) better weather, in green surroundings we will look at the politics of work, domestic space and our free time. With the book ‘After Work: A History of the Home and the Fight for Free Time’ we will discuss how unpaid work in our homes has come to take up an ever-increasing portion of our lives.

📖 Book: After Work: A History of the Home and the Fight for Free Time - Helen Hester and Nick Srnicek

🗓️Date: Thursday, 18 April 2024, 19:30

📍Place: @buitenplaatsbrienenoord (Van Brienenoord 5, Rotterdam)

*Book Club #4 is integrated with Urbanistas EXPO on the 28th February, focusing on the discussion of René Boer’s book ‘Smooth City. Against Urban Perfection, Towards Collective Alternatives'.

About: Urbanistas’ BookClub is a formula open for everyone (yes, men too!). You read a given title and during the session we discuss and share our thoughts, opinions, questions. No need for registration. However, if you like to be in the more direct communication loop (email or WhatsApp), please contact us!
