Dear Urbanistas,

As we have shared with you previously, last year we were inspired to organise an excursion to Vienna. We are really happy to present the program for the first international excursion of the Urbanistas Rotterdam to Vienna that will take place 4-7 May 2023! Last months we were busy collecting information and contacting people working there and it has been truly inspiring. The city of Vienna has been a frontrunner and hotspot for feminist ideas, firstly introducing gender mainstreaming policies and developing pilot projects of urban development focusing on design for women. All of that already from the 90’s!

On a more practical aspect, we have realised that booking train tickets and hotels is a big step for us and therefore we would like to ask you to sign up with the payment of the deposit. With the deposit we can buy group train tickets as soon as possible to keep it affordable and make prepayment of the hotel. Afterwards we can provide the final costs and details about the remaining amount.

We want to be fully transparent about the costs with you, as we believe in mutual trust and understanding. Therefore we have prepared an estimated budget and first detail of the programme that you can find in the flyer below. We are not profiting in any way on the event, organising it for all interested Urbanistas working in the spatial field. The excursion is for ladies only and we made a limit of places for 18 people.
