After a successful first international excursion to the city of Vienna in the spring of 2023, we want to keep exploring other feminist cities in Europe. This time we are happy to present the programme for the second international excursion of the Urbanistas Rotterdam to Brussels that will take place 19-20 October 2024! This excursion is a collaboration between the chapters of Urbanistas Rotterdam & Urbanistas Brussels and together we will discover the female urbanism of Brussels. We will visit community-led initiatives, co-living projects and we will be listening to inspiring stories about women that have worked very hard to make the city more egalitarian for everyone.
Because Brussels is very close to Rotterdam, we want to give you the freedom of choosing your own transport mode, just make sure to be on time for the start of the programme! We will take care of organising the hotel for one night, the tours and other material. For this we would like to ask you to make the payment of the deposit.
We want to be fully transparent about the costs with you, as we believe in mutual trust and understanding. Therefore we have prepared an estimated budget and first detail of the programme that you can find in the flyer below. We are not profiting in any way from the event, organising it for all interested Urbanistas working in the spatial field. The excursion is for women only and we made a limit of places for 18 people.

If you are interested in joining us, Please fill in this form and pay the deposit before Friday 4th of October 2024. After payment, we kindly ask you to send us the payment confirmation to urbanistas.rotterdam@gmail.com.
We estimate the cost of the deposit as €80 (€50 for the hotel reservation and €30 for pre-payment of tours). You can pay with Tikkie or through a bank transfer to the account L.A. GARCIA NL26ABNA 0819 5526 07 (if you select this option, please write down your full name in the description). We will not consider reservation without the payment. To keep things simple and ensure people can make the most use of their public transport discounts or other travel means, we ask you to book your own train tickets. We recommend booking your trains as soon as your spot is confirmed - the sooner you book, the cheaper! We also cannot provide you any official invoice of the excursion, however we will be very happy to share all payment details.
