Expo 10 (digital):

The Thread of Ariadne

DECEMBER 10—20:00

Hot on the heels of our previous expo, next week we'll be (digitally) hosting Lena Knappers to discuss her research and design project in Athens, Greece. This is probably our last expo of this year, so make sure you get your ticket!

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 10TH

20:00 - 21:00

LOCATION: ONLINE

The thread of Ariadne: Designing public-private spaces for Omonia and Victoria neighbourhood in Athens

Lena Knappers is an urbanist (TU Delft, graduated in 2017). She currently works as an urban designer and strategic advisor for the Chief Government Architect in The Hague. In 2019, Lena received a Talent Development Grant from the Creative Industries Fund NL to work on a self-initiated research and design project in Athens. She is going to share with us her idea for creating ’new public-private spaces’ in the dense city centre of the Greek capital. She is curious to know how this idea could be made relevant for other European cities, dealing with the implications of migration.

Due to the COVID-19 regulations we are sadly unable to organise Expos in real life, so we will meet online and discuss only a single topic, with a small number of people. The event will also be shorter than usual, but of course with the same amount of energy and exchange! Those with a ticket will receive a link to join the online expo closer to the time.

ps: Just a reminder that our Expo events are women-only - sorry men, you are very welcome to our socials!
